Repair for under-sink instant hot water dispensers: leaks, lukewarm water, sputtering, dead tanks and faulty faucets.
An instant hot water dispenser at the sink is a luxury that quickly becomes a habit, for tea, soup, oatmeal and quick cleanup. When it begins to sputter, drip from the spout, run lukewarm or stop heating altogether, the habit breaks. The system is simple: a small heated tank under the sink, a faucet with a valve and a few tubes and fittings. Because the water is held near boiling, repairs need care. Most problems are a worn valve, a failed thermostat or heating part, scale or a loose fitting.
We check the tank, heating element and thermostat, the faucet valve and tubing, the cold water supply and the connections for leaks. We descale the tank when needed, replace worn valves and gaskets and test the water temperature and flow at the faucet. If the tank is old or corroded, we explain when a new dispenser is a better value than another repair.
Worn valves and scale cause spitting and drips at the spout. A new valve or a descale fixes it.
A failed thermostat or element or a weak tank keeps the water from heating.
Tubing, clamps and tank seals can leak, and we replace the failing part and dry the cabinet.
A tripped thermal cutoff, power problem or failed heater is traced and fixed.
Drips and spitting stopped.
Heat restored.
Better flow and temperature.
Cabinet kept dry.
When the tank is done.
Hot water tested.
